 Chicken Socks The pick of the week would be these chicken leg socks. Sadly they too small to wear. A Tour of the Green Center The "Green Center" is our town's recycling center for used clothing, household items, books, toys, and some unique items (such as these socks). It is maintained by an army of volunteers who sort through donated items and organize them into different sections. The Center is open to the residents of Greenville and New Ipswich only. There is no cost for the items but donations are welcome. The Center is generally open on alternate Saturdays, but Holidays can disrupt that schedule.  A printed schedule is available at the Center or posted on the Life in New Ipswich Facebook Page . Saturday Hours (when open) 9-12 Shopping Only 1-3 Donations Only The Kitchen Shop Dishes, glassware, coffee cups, pots and pans, photo frames, silverware, kitchen gadgets and more.  April 16, 2022 This Ibanez Performance acoustic guitar might be just the thing for a budding musician. It is missing the nut on the headpiece so I would recommend bringing it to a luthier for an appraisal. It might be worth the repair. I believe they cost just under $200 new. Look WHO I saw at the Green Center Boone always has a kind word to say. It is a joy to see him at the Green Center.   I'm Back! It has been quite a while since I last spent a Saturday morning poking around the Green Center. It still have plenty of quirky items including this impressive Christmas wreath. It was nice chatting with the regulars and enjoying the prospect of the warmer days to come. I saw a few items worth commenting on. Minolta X-700 The Minolta X-700 is a 35mm SLR introduced in 1981. It was the top model. This one was in good shape. I tried the shutter but nothing happened. I suspect it might have an electromagnetic release which will require a battery. I briefly thought of taking it but I have enough cameras  and no desire to use film ever again. Mix Tapes Remember making mix tapes for your car cassette player? I do. I would try to time it so I could get one last song on in the 45 minute side A of the tape. The Green Center has brand new high quality cassette tapes.
